For our final groups song choice, we have decided to upload the lyrics in regards to the groups choice as to who will be starring and lip syncing within the music video. Below I have embedded the document as to where we have typed out lyrics to the song. Doing this will then allow the person in our group to help and revise the lyrics so that the lip syncing will be done correctly while processing the groups music video.

Final Song Choice (Kieran Winrow)
The final song that we have decided on doing is Sam Smith's Stay with Me. The reason behind this song is that it is a very slow song which means that means it will be very easy to plan the transitions and the song is basic but effective lyrics that will be easy to lip sync.
The song has a clear narrative as the lyrics reveals a man who wants somebody in their life and does not want to be left alone. It is revealed throughout the lyrics to the audience that the situations is having a negative influence upon his life. The overall rhythm and structure of the song may possibly connote that the artist is passionate about his music and takes pride in what he does in regards to his appearance and surroundings also.
We are currently coming up with storyboards, types of shots, the shooting locations and what the videos story will be and as soon as we come up with them we will post update blog posts. At the current stage we have a few ideas but we are still trying to think out of the box to get some unique shots to ensure that the final product will be good.

Questionnaire Responses (Ian Pelgrave)
Recently we uploaded a questionnaire which was part of the groups primary research into our target audience. Within the questionnaire we asked a variety of questions in regards to the groups chosen genre. We have based some of the questions on our song choice in order to find out whenever our song was a good choice and popular within the genre of indie/pop. This allowed us to make a music video that was suited to an audience and what they want to view in regards to our demographics needs. Below are some of the key responses we have considered in regards to our target audience.
The first set of responses was in regards to the age category who answered our questionnaire. From these results the majority of the people who answered our questionnaire were aged 16-20 which contribute to our target demographic of young adult audience. This result suggests that from our chosen demographic we are currently targeting the correct age category in regards to the genre of our music video.
The next set of responses dis;lys that the majproity of people who anwred our qurestinaire are fans of indie pop. fRom these results collected we have concluded that becuase the our target audiecne are between 16-20, most of these people are fans of indie/pop.

Choosing the song choice was a very important part for the group we asked our audience of people have they ever heard of the song "Stay With Me". everyone, including people who are not considered to be our target demographic answered yes. This suggests that the song choice is a popular song and therefore it is likely that when disturbing our music video, more people will familiarise the song.

Our last key responses displays what type of music video do most of our audience prefer. The majority of the people who answered the questionnaire prefer to view a literal music video. As of this the group have decided to create a literal music video as most people prefer to view this type of video.

Questionnaire (Ian Pelgrave)
This is the questionnaire I have created in regards to our target audience research. It would be most appreciated if anyone can take a few moments to go through our questionnaire and answer the questions. The more questionnaires that are submitted, the better our research will look in terms of establishing our target demographic.
Audience Profile (Charles Mossman)
Now that the group have decided to create a music video based upon the genre of indie/pop we are now conducting some research as to who our target demographic will be. Below we have created a short presentation slide as to what our audience profile is as well as our research into demographics and psychographics. This will be followed up by a questionnaire as well in regards to our primary research into the groups target audience for the music video. Please take a few moment to view our presentation below.

Promoting Artists through Media Products (Charles Mosssman)
The presentations below presents more finding into the groups chosen artists to analyse. This Prezi presents the findings of 2 artists who are to be Sam Smith and Mumford and Sons in which states how successful they have become through the promotion of media products such as music videos, posters, album covers and merchandise. Looking into these products such as posters and album covers to promote artists will contribute into giving the group a more through insight as to how we are going to create a poster and album cover in order to promote our music video. Another similar task will be uploaded to the group blog shortly looking at the other 2 artists in which the group have chosen in detail through the promotion of the media products.

Music Video Analysis (Anthony Black)
This video was first released in 2009, The video is mostly in low key lighting and is slow paced to go along with the song so does not feature many quick takes. The video is high budget due to as the video goes on the video features more CGI and will start to be quicker paced as the song goes on as well. The video is also shaky throughout that suits the lyrics of the video.
The video for this song is mostly a montage of the band performing at concerts and behind the scenes. This is common for this genre of music videos to show a montage of the band performing live. Unlike the other Kings of Leon song above this video features no CGI and keeps a similar pace throughout the video to go with the song unlike the song above where it gets faster as it goes on.
The video for "Stay With Me" is basic but very effective as its simply the artists (Sam Smith) walking down the street as he sings the song, there are a few scenes where its in a different scene. This video works well with the lyrics to the song however and with it being so simple means it is more effective and because its a s low paced song the video is also slow paced to go with the song.
The song is like the others above where the video is slow paced and features long takes and very few short takes. The video features a few pan shots when the camera shows what all the band is doing and this is also done through quick close ups on the band.

Music Artists Research (Charles Mossman)
I have created a video using VideoScribe in which shows the research that I have constructed. The video is based upon looking at famous music artists/bands and how successful they have been within their careers. Constructing this research on particular artists, within the genre of the groups choice will help the team give an outline as to how and what music video idea the groups video will be based upon. Please take a few moments to watch my video presenation below.
Potential Idea (Kieran Winrow)
Idea
I have recently thought of an idea for a music video concept and what I came up with was that using video scribe you can get it to draw images. So I thought what about filming in a gallery for example, the Tate Gallery, and then using editing software and after affects to overlay the image onto the frame and then using a green screen act like we were coming out of the frame.
To do this it would require either me or the group (or both) to do a lot of research into what software to use and how I would be able to do it.

Group Work Process
We have created mind maps stating our decisions on what particular genre our music video could be based upon. Each member of the group have selected an area of interest in regards to their taste and style in music.
After looking at the four styles of music genres we have narrowed our decision down by selecting our final style will be indie/pop music genre. We as a group have decided to pick this genre as every member in the group is very familiar with particular artists, music videos and songs within this particular category. Therefore we as a group will be able to construct our research into the genre more confidently and in an effective manner which will contribute into creating a successful music video.
In our chosen genre we have outlined the names and types of songs, music videos, artist, posters and album covers in which our final genre style is based upon. The groups ideas are stated on the second mind map image below.
